Taliban cleric Sheikh Rahimullah Haqqani killed in blast in Kabul
Abdul Rahman, the head of intelligence for the district in the Afghan capital where the blast took place, confirmed the death. Four Taliban sources told Reuters the attack had taken place in a religious seminary in the Afghan capital when a man who had previously lost his leg had detonated explosives hidden in a plastic artificial leg.
India without clinical trial registry since July 1
Officially, the Clinical Trial Registry of India (CTRI) does not exist anymore since there has been no official order extending its existence beyond June 30, 2022. The existing staff of CTRI also have not been given any further extension. But over 1,060 clinical trials have been registered between July 1 and August 5.
Arjun Tendulkar likely to play for Goa next season
Legendary Sachin Tendulkar's son Arjun is all set to leave Mumbai and in all likelihood will ply his trade for south-western neighbours Goa in the next domestic season. Dhankhar was elected vice-president on August 10, after defeating the opposition candidate Margaret Alva. He secured 528 votes against Alva's 182.

Braden Wallake, the chief executive officer of a Columbus, Ohio-based marketing agency called HyperSocial, wrote a guilt-filled post Tuesday about laying off employees that concluded with a teary-eyed selfie. After the post went viral, he declared himself “the crying CEO.” In it, he said he loves all of his employees and said it was the “hardest thing” he has ever had to do.
