NASA completes rocket engine test series for lunar mission

New drug combination found effective against coronavirus infection: Study
A new drug combination can suppress infection by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which causes Covid-19, according to a study conducted in animals and cell cultures. Early test results, published in the journal Viruses, found that the combined use of the antiviral drugs nafamostat and Pegasys meets all availability and efficacy requirements.
Russia to launch 5 spacecraft to International Space Station in 2022
Russia plans to launch two Soyuz manned spacecraft and three Progress cargo spacecraft to the International Space Station (ISS) next year, according to the station's flight program obtained by Sputnik. According to the program, on March 18, 2022, it is planned to launch the Soyuz MS-21 spacecraft with Russian cosmonauts Oleg Artemyev, Denis Matveyev and Sergey Korsakov, and on September 21, the Soyuz MS-22 spacecraft with Sergey Prokopyev, Anna Kikina and Dmitry Petelin.
Earth-monitoring satellite launches from California
The latest in a series of US satellites that has recorded human and natural impacts on Earth's surface for decades was launched into orbit from California on Monday to ensure continued observations in the era of climate change. Landsat 9 was carried into space aboard a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket that lifted off from foggy Vandenberg Space Force Base at 11.12am. Separation of the satellite from the rocket's upper stage was expected by early afternoon.
Amid global spurt, average height of Indians declined over 10 years
In the context of an increase in average heights worldwide, there was, alarmingly, a decline in the average height of adult men and women in India in the decade from 2005-06 to 2015-16 after a significant increase from 1998-99. Women from the poorest sections showed the steepest decline as did tribal women.
